The trainer is also walking around checking form and ensuring you’re doing it right. They do a demonstration of the workout in the beginning.

Marin and Shaw were both so welcoming and friendly, and they checked in with me often to demonstrate the workouts and correct my form. There were also monitors that clearly showed which movements to complete, which made my experience less overwhelming as a newbie. I left the class feeling energized and satisfied from the workout intensity.

The instructor demos everything at least once. The music is good. I’ve boxed before but I would totally bring a novice friend and they would still be able to fully engage.

Every single thing I did in that class was new to me, but it was all so easy to understand and Kellen’s coaching was so thorough and I felt like he was asking all the right questions trying to really understand what I want to get out of the workout. I really like that it’s not just a workout it’s basically a personal training session. I will for sure be coming back here and telling my friends about this place!

Voir tous les avisI love Lucy’s classes! I had hip surgery not long ago, and ever since surgery I try to attend 1 of Lucy’s classes a week. I’ve had no issues with pain and she always gives modification options on movements which I appreciate since my hips aren’t very flexible. I’ve done several classes at CorePower that are way too rushed and cardio driven, where you feel like you can never catch up and when you do, they are already onto the next movement, however Lucy is the perfect level of cardio and weight sculpting. She gives plenty of opportunity for breaks and less challenging movements to lower your heart rate throughout class. Highly recommend!

He asked about any injuries in the beginning of the class and made sure to help make adjustments to avoid aggravating my injury and instead strengthen the surrounding muscles. He also checked in on everyone and helped tweak form throughout the class. Then at the end he provided some helpful tips to help with strengthening, further injury prevention, and recovery. The front half is focused on kickboxing with the classic bag and the tear shaped bag and get lots of variations and combos in. The second half of the session is on circuit training with weights. I was sweating buckets at the end, it felt awesome. Also the group cheered me on when they heard it was my first class, it was so welcoming!

She had a super cute poem at the end about Daffodils that really lifted my spirit. The studio was comfortable but I will say the sound quality was somewhat poor. The cues were easy to follow and she would also demo the moves for visuals. Like other comments said, I feel I got a great workout and it was a nice way to start the week.
